Ileana Kripp is the grand- daughter of the last Prince Stirbey and has reclaimed the estate that has been in the family since the eighteenth century. The family also owned the conuntry's largest nurseries, thus conserving manu indigenuous varieties, in which the property now specializes. With only 25 hectares of vineyards, the Kripps can maintain control of the whole wine producing process, which may explain why quality is wee above average.
